Cybula - World Class Pattern Recognition and Data Mining
Cybula was founded in 2000 by Professor Jim Austin, an internationally acknowledged expert in neural networks. The company was formed specifically to develop commercial applications for high performance pattern matching. It benefits from a close working relationship with cutting edge pattern recognition and machine learning at the Computer Science at the University of York, UK.
Cybula has an enviable track record of working on complex systems solutions with many large world-leading companies, including Bombardier, EDF, SKANSKA, BAE Systems, Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE) and Rolls-Royce.
Consultancy: Cybula undertakes consultancy contracts on the application and implementation of high performance pattern recognition methods to problems. These include standard pattern recognition methods as well as neural networks, statistical and other techniques.
Research: In partnership with the Computer Science Department at the University of York, Cybula is able to undertake small and large research projects. These can range from basic research (which would be undertaken primarily at the University) to applied research (undertaken predominately within the Company) or a mixture of the two. The projects can attract government funding from government sources such as TSB, and EPSRC to cover some or all of the cost of the project.
